Part 1: Synthesis
Assignment 1 - March 29thTest the provide base code, to confirm you are able to load, compile, and alter it. Experiment with the provided code.
Due: March 31st
Assignment 2 - March 31st
1.Using the provided base code experiment with generating a variety of periodic tones. Create at least 5 separate sounds to warm up.
2.Record the output of your programs to create a bank of samples. Continue your experiments in generating sounds. Specifically, work with periodic tone, random noise, and enveloping.
3.Create a short (30-60 second) demo track that showcases the output of your program.
Due: March 5th
Assignment 3 - April 5th
Continue your experiments and introduce user control through a provided NSControl widgit. Bring your completed application to class to present.
Due: April 7th
Part 2: Effects
Assignment 4 - April 8th1. Study the provided example code.
2. Experiment with creating real time audio effects. Create AT LEAST three separate effects, either in individual programs, or one program which provides an interface. Try for variety when making these effects.
3. Create and upload a 30+ second audio file (mp3 recommended) that showcases your effects, and contrasts your effects output to unaltered sound.
